Freestyle Music Park
Myrtle Beach
Music, Lights,
and Roller Coasters!
Memorial Day Weekend will see the re-opening of what was once the Myrtle Beach Hard Rock Park- into the new Freestyle Music Park. With rides and sideshows centering around the musical genre, the new owners say it will be more family-friendly, less "hard" rock, and maybe a little bit country, too.
The Freestyle Music Park will offer several interactive oddities such as a guitar water fountain that plays when the kids run their hands through the water. An affixed chopper motorcyle can be rev'ed up by the children, and a special kids' ride area has been added.
55 acres of Myrtle Beach family fun will incorporate the world class roller coasters with other new exhibits, such as "Flip Five Live", a 25 minute show that encourages the visitors to dance and sing along with live performing pop singers. Parents can let the kids go together and watch from theatre level as the entertainers do their thing.
There will still be live concerts and music throughout the park, although no big-ticket bands have been planned so far in Myrtle Beach. The 4 exciting roller coasters combine with a nighttime lightshow and fireworks to make this a fabulous and heady night of entertainment for the young, and the young at heart.
